Welcome to Eyes of the World

Updated 3/25/2020: Eyes of the World will be open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday until further notice. Our Saturday hours have been temporarily suspended.

The CDC and Oregon Governor Kate Brown are directing medical care providers to postpone all routine office visits and procedures, including routine eye exams, until June 15th. This is to preserve the supply of masks, gloves and equipment and reduce the chance of viral transmission. We are now scheduling routine exams beginning June 15th , although we hope to resume a normal schedule sooner if possible.

Please call our office during the above hours at 541.689.2881 for the following non-routine reasons:

  • You cannot see to function. Your only glasses are lost, non-functional/broken or you have no contacts or glasses. We can possibly repair your glasses or order new glasses based on a current prescription or we may be able to provide an exam for emergency situations. We can possibly extend your contact lens prescription. Call us and speak with Dr. Phillips.
  • You have an urgent or serious eye or vision issue:
    Eye injury or trauma
    Eye infection or red eye
Sudden loss or reduction in vision
Sudden onset of flashes of light or floaters
    Referral from another provider
Other sudden/urgent eye concerns such as eye pain or acute allergies that can be treated in our office to preserve hospital resources. If you are unsure, just give us a call and Dr. Phillips will speak with you.
  • You have specific eye health follow up visits in which Dr. Phillips directed a return:
    Surgical post-op visits
    Glaucoma care
    Macular degeneration care

Again, please call if you have any questions or concerns. 541.689.2881. We are here to help.

For eye health emergencies after 5:30pm or on weekends, please call the Lane Eye Associates emergency on-call number, (541) 607-4318 to be connected with the on-call doctor.
Thank you for your understanding and stay well. We will all get through this together.
